The Grenada Switcher is doing a little switching at North Yard. The engineer is JL Crawford and the switchman is Curtis Hopson, AKA "Hop". JL holds the speed record on the Grenada District. In 1969 on the northbound Panama Limited, he went 2 miles in 59 seconds, thats 122 MPH, between Como and Senatobia. JL retired in 2004 and Hop retired in 2009. Photo by Fred Goff. |
