Sunburned & Happy
Title:  Sunburned & Happy
Description:  Me, on the left, and my father, at the Helper Depot. I've spent many hours here over the last 12 years; the Rio Grande was a special railroad to me and I did what I could to see the last of it before Union Pacific erased it. Those images, on film, will come as I can get them scanned. But, this was the first time I'd been here with my Dad, and it was time well spent. Both of us show the effects of skiing in Utah - sunburned, windburned faces, and big smiles!

Railway Express? Not quite
Title:  Railway Express? Not quite
Description:  An interesting little detail in the yard at Sandy is this mailbox, with a backdrop of Utah Railway's Provo Turn. If you address a letter to Utah Railway, does it get delivered here?

Former Rio Grande Power on the Former Rio Grande
Title:  Former Rio Grande Power on the Former Rio Grande
Description:  The Provo Turn idles at Sandy Yard, awaiting a crew to take it south for the evening's work. Nice to see a former D&RGW GP35 on the former D&RGW, even nicer that it is painted for Rio Grande's long-time parter.
