PRR 1002, E-5S, c. 1938
Description:
Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1002, an E-5S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as an E-5 during April of 1910, rebuilt as an E-5S in June of 1913, and retired in April of 1949 after 39 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Raymond C. Laws Collection.
