Eight of this type were built for the Berne-Loetschberg-Simplon (BLS) from 1926 to 1943. No. 206 had twelve motors mounted on six driving axles producing 4,400 horsepower. Became secondary power after less heavy and complex B-B type locomotives were developed in 1944. |
