BWCX. Here is the first of three successive original photos that I took at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in March of 1960. Shown here is the Vulcan 0-4-0T steam locomotive named "Nancy." The builder's badge specifies "Vulcan Locomotive Works ~ 1918." This locomotive was retired during the Winter of 1963-1964, so it served faithfully for 46 years! It's shifting three F-89A TrailerTrain flatcars past the Car Shop. That's the Frame Shop at the left. |
