| This car is now on its third owner in its first owners paint scheme. The EL merger was 18 years earlier, in 1960, and Conrail got the car when it took over EL operations two years prior to the photo. The Erie equipment seemed to have a longer life ahead of it than DLW cars, with some Erie boxcars being spotted at the Binghamton Agway into the early 1990s. Dont know how long this one lasted, but it was still hard at work on the D&H in Oneonta this day. |
