Album of PRR Scenery, Plate 8, 1882         
Here is the eighth of 12 plates constituting the "Album of Pennsylvania R.R. Scenery." It's based on a drawing done in 1875 by Mr. Fred B. Schell. It was later published and copyrighted in 1882 by Wittemann Brothers. 45 Murray Street. New York City, New York. Caption: "Horse Shoe Curve, Looking West." Note the double-headed "Americans" pulling a six-car passenger train around the Curve to Gallitzin, Johnstown, and Pittsburgh.
