Built by Alco-Brooks in 1913 as Texas & New Orleans #922, it was merged into the Southern Pacific in May 1923 as T&NO #612 (2nd). Specs - class P-6, as built - 77" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine weight of 281,300 lb, tractive effort of 38,636 lb., rebuilt in July 1935 - 210 psi boiler pressure, Delta trailing truck with booster, engine weight of 291,000 lb, tractive effort 40,550 lb + 11,500 lb booster.
