Originally built by EMD in December of 1952 as MKT GP7 #1761, it bounced in and out of the CIND and CERA rosters in Indiana before landing on the Great Miami Inc, a Silver Star Enterprise member and based at Princeton, IN. Not sure where the reporting mark "FLSX" came from - anyone know? The loco has been spotted several times since this 2005 slide was taken by an unknown photographer. The latest spotting was in September of 2017 according to the RRPA database. Sounds like strong worker even after 65 years of service!!! |
