Baera 1. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken at Union Station in Indianapolis, Indiana, c. 1951. Prominent here (F to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5773 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are BP-20's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5773 was constructed in August of 1948 and retired in May of 1965 after just 17 years of revenue service. The train's number and name are not recorded. |
