Title:
PRR 8847, AS-16MS, c. 1960
Description:
Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Reading, Pennsylvania, c. 1960. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8847 and #8850. Both are AS-16MS's built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1951 and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. Many thanks to Mr. James Cocuzza for identifying this location correctly.
