HOLLY. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at HOLLY Block in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 08 August 1964. Shown here is PRR engine #8627, an AS-18M built by the American Locomotive Company in 1957 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. It is pulling a 24-car mixed-cargo freight train on the Bedford Secondary Track. The train has stopped for the moment, and the fireman is calling WYE Tower to secure permission to pass through HOLLY Block on its way to the Altoona Yards. The cabin car's number is 477746.

Everyday. Here is the first of two successive original photos that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 3 September 1964. Shown here is PRR engine #8627, a BS-18M built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1957 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. It is pulling a 13-car mixed-cargo freight train over the Bedford Street Crossing and will skirt the Hollidaysburg Yards on its way to Bedford, Pennsylvania, and points South. The cabin car is #477746.
